Meritage Philadelphia is an independent editorial publication. Our mission is to inform residents and visitors about Philadelphia's heritage, food traditions, and neighborhood life. This policy explains how we work.

Accuracy and sourcing. We aim to publish accurate, contextual, and useful information. We rely on public records, interviews, and secondary sources. Where we cannot verify a detail, we say so or leave it out. We do not claim first hand testing, expert credentials, or official status. We do not invent staff, sources, or experiences.

Independence. Our editorial choices are made by our editorial team, not by advertisers or partners.

Corrections. We correct errors when we learn of them. To request a correction, contact us and identify the article by headline, section, and URL. Explain the issue and provide evidence where possible, such as a public record or a dated source. If we update an article, we may add a note to describe the change.

Images. They are not documentary photographs and should not be used as evidence of a specific place, person, or event. We label them as illustrative where practical.

AI and automation. We may use software tools to help with research, drafting, or production. A human editor reviews and approves all published material. We remain responsible for what we publish.

Comments and tips. We welcome tips, questions, and corrections from readers. We cannot respond to every message, but we read them and use them to improve our work. This policy may be updated as our publication grows.
